Review of 2022: The Classes, The Art, The Festivals and More
What a year we saw in 2022! It was filled with activities, classes, and a whirlwind of festivals throughout the year. I thought it would be nice to look back and see what the year was like through pictures and links to the past pages.
I created a new class called art journals
. This class will also happen again in 2023.
Plus, I had a class on Gelli Printing
where we made fabulous mixtures of color and art.
The month started off the season with two classes
in metals and art therapy, good for the soul.
Spring Cleaning creates joy
This was the month of the long awaited Art Journaling class
. We had fun making the pages and creating a beautiful keepsake.
May is for Metals and what better way to do it than with Metal Mania classes
? I have two classes happening in the new year with metals too.
June was filled with festivals and fiestas
, some that started up after a couple of years of hiatus.
Another class this time creating fabric beads
and it will be offer again in 2023. Very popular class and it filled up quickly.
And we had a sew-along! A Zoom class
that allowed you to be at home and sew while in the community of others.
August was the month of collaboration with Sister Quilting Collective
. Such beautiful lace textiles were created that day.
This month was filled with more festivals, art shows, and trunk shows
A sold out class on Shibori at Crocker Art Museum, a Quilt show with River City Quilters' Guild and an Surface class made September bright and exciting.
October was the month of creating beauty and purses
galore that I sold in November and December shows and events.
Shows included the Crocker Artisan Holiday Market
at the end of November
Along the way I showed colors and palettes of the year, explained different techniques and created new and useful items for the shop. I am so glad I was able to see you at the classes and events and hope to see you in the future. Happy New Year!
