Fifth Saturday Sew Along Come Along and Sew With Us

We know the summer is hot, and it is tough to be outside in the heat. Why not come along to your computer and create something that is sure to be a hit, your own unique Kimono Jacket! You will be joining me and others on a Zoom Sew Along in the comfort of your own home.

Fifth Saturday Sew Along with Me

How this class works:

  •       Once you have paid for the course, or
  •       Become a member of American Sewing Guild, Sacramento chapter, then you will be sent a link.
  •       You log on between 9:30 and 10 am on Saturday, July 30th
  •       The presentation goes from 10 to 11 am. You can have your camera on or off; I will be the only one with my microphone on.
  •       Sew Along: 11 am to 4 pm: This is when you want to have your microphone on, and your camera too, so that I can see your sewing projects.
  •       You can stay until 4 pm or whenever you want to sign off.

After the presentation, we will have a hands-on sew along, where you can make your old clothing become something beautiful for you! I will be there to help guide you, and you can ask questions, receive helpful tips, and more during the sew along.

We call this kind of creating as an upcycle, where old items become a new, beautiful item. My kimono jackets are made this way.

You will come away from the class with a new skill and knowledge to make your very own kimono jacket embellished the way you want, with the colors that work with your wardrobe. Kimono jackets can pair with anything, and can add that extra style and layer as the summer turns to fall.
