Art Journals and Making Business Cards Paper Crafters Unite!
Next week will be busy with paper crafting and surface design time. I will hold two workshops, one as a guided class and one for the June Surface Design meeting.
Here are the materials we will use for each:
Art Journal in 8 Easy Steps: sign up for the class
You will get and use these items in this beginner’s class:
Cardstock paper,
Paint,
Stencils,
Collage material,
Glue,
Tools,
Washi tape,
We go through the steps and create a one-of-a-kind art journal. It is a fun, creative way to express your ideas and create a lasting keepsake.
Let’s Make Some Business Cards: Become a member of SCTA for this workshop.
This is a free workshop for the Sign Study Group members. It is an intermediate workshop where you want to bring these items to create a business card. Do not be afraid of the blank canvas!
Materials Supplied:
Magazine pages, especially from National Geographic
A fabric, paper, or canvas substrate,
Acrylic paints in the shades of blue, red, and yellow,
Caron d'Ache Neocolor Crayons,
Paintbrushes or a sponge,
A pencil,
Crayons, and
A water container.
For further creativity:
Children’s crayons,
Water-soluble crayons,
Permanent markers,
Correction pens,
A pizza cutter,
A tracing wheel, and,
A paint spatter brush.
Both of these hands-on projects involve paper of some sort. There will be paint involved too, so wear your work clothes. Something to write with, whether pens or crayons, markers or pencils, to sketch, write, and create something beautiful.
I hope to see you next week!
