Exciting Events For September!
Sold Out Shibori, Quite Cool Quilt Festival, and Studious Surface Design Study Group
September starts off my selling season so nicely with a sold out class, an interesting festival, and ends with a study group.
There is a wait list for the class. While I do not think I can do another class on Shibori this year, it has become a popular class. I personally like doing this class from spring to the beginning of fall as its colors created are perfect for those seasons.
River City Quilt Show
I love using my bits and pieces of extra cloths to make quilts. A win-win-win: I use the scraps from other projects, far less clothing and materials go to the landfills, and I can create and sell those beauties to people who appreciate them.

Surface Design Study Group
The study group will be held at Sacramento Center for the Textile Arts on September 29. The group’s full name is Surface Design and Mixed Media Study Group.
We study all facets of surface design. Each time we meet might include techniques such as dyeing, silk screening, carving special stamps, or Shibori. Our mixed media explorations include fabric art collage, Gelli printing, patina on metal and more.
Our meetings happen on the fourth Thursday; this one on September 29 at 1:00 pm. We meet at the Shepard Garden and Arts Center 3330 McKinley Blvd. All members and their guests are welcome to attend.
