Fun and Fabulous Festivals for June!
It is exciting to see some of the festivals coming back for summer. Curtis Fest Artisan Fair at Curtis Park, Sacramento, California, celebrates its 15th annual event. This outdoor event happens under the shade of trees in the middle of the park.
This time there will be one hundred vendors selling handmade wares. And there are more food trucks this year, with Chando’s Tacos, Drewskis, Hefty Gyros, Smokin Ewe BBQ, Cowtown Creamery, and Good Roots Café. Plus, extras like KC Kombucha, Twisted Dough, Kettle Corn Masters, and Carnival Concessions Shaved Ice will surely keep you well-fed while walking around the vendor booths.
There is fun for the whole family, with live music all day, hands-on activities, magic, and a puppet petting zoo.
The Kiwanis Art Fiesta is a two-day event on Saturday, June 10, from 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday, June 11, from 10 am to 5 pm. This is the 65th Sacramento Suburban Kiwanis Art Fiesta, with free admission. The new location is in the Scottish Rite Masonic Center at 6151 H Street, Sacramento, California, 95819. There is plenty of parking and shade trees throughout. We will be inside for this one, and once I have the booth number, I will let you know.
There will be air conditioning, which, as we know here in Sacramento, can be necessary as we move into summer. Once these festivals are done, my class on Paper Arts: How to Make an Art Journal in 8 Easy Steps will be on June 20. Sign up for the course soon, as this is a popular one!
I am looking forward to seeing everyone.
