Fun Event Fabulous Color of the Year

Nubian Crafters Holiday Expo and Color of the Year

The event of 2022 is the 12th Annual Holiday Expo at The Brickhouse Gallery presented by Nubian Crafters of Sacramento. The Pantone Color of 2023 Year is Viva Magenta 18-1750, a color that “vibrates with vim and vigor”, according to Pantone’s Leatrice Eiseman.

What this color represents to me and my crafting sisters are the words and meanings of us: rooted in nature, new signal of strength, brave and fearless, pulsating color, joyous, optimism, celebration, powerful, empowering, pure joy, experimentation, self-expression, without restraint, electrifying, boundaryless, verve for life, rebellious spirit, full of wit, strong, and bright.

This color will go well with the old and the new as well as metallics of silver and gold. It blends the cool and the warm together into a color to represent us all.

This color will look beautiful with the pale pinks, sands, grays, greens and blues of spring. It can go nicely with black, browns, and navy blue of winter. You can mix it up and decide what you want Viva Magenta to go with because this color is meant for experimentation and self-expression. I am so excited to see what the new year will bring.

I hope to see you tomorrow, December 10, at The Brickhouse Gallery from 10 am to 4 pm. The Brickhouse Art Gallery is located at 2837 36th Street, Sacramento, 95817. It is free to enter, and there will be refreshments and door prizes too!
