Love Painted Purse as Your Exciting Creative Art Therapy

Imagine creating a purse with your best friend, sister, or mother? Or you might create this painted purse to give to one of them. There are so many options to be creative to make a one-of-a-kind designer bag. In this class, Painted Purse, we will use acrylic paints and surface design techniques to create your unique handbag. The only pieces you need to bring are your imagination and flair.

Back of Painted Purse

As you can see with the back of this example purse, I cut up a drop cloth or canvas cloth to use for painting. I decided what colors I want, and made it a little unusual. I added only a few reds to bring the subtle designs out of the larger image.

Pantone 2021 Colors of Yellow and Gray

Since the color yellow is one of the colors of the year, according to Pantone, I incorporated it into this purse. It also makes me feel happy, as yellow is a friendly, happy color. These colors can go with jeans or dressier outfits.

You could also make a clutch instead of a satchel, and add flare, buttons, or trim to make it fashionable into the fall and beyond.

I would suggest asking your friends to come with you to this class. Then you can make a purse for yourself or one of them. How much fun would that be?

All the materials will be provided, and if you need a sewing machine, there will be one available. You might decide to use the sewing kit instead. You can then say this is a completely handmade item created by you.

Sign up here for the class and I look forward to seeing you on Monday, July 26th at 11 am.
