Three Happenings For Maximum Artistry: Jewelry Class, Art Show, and Free Workshop
First is the Art Show on Sunday, February 19, from 10 am to 5 pm. We are celebrating the Legacy of Black Excellence Honoring Black History Month at The Old Sugar Mill. You can register early to get a free wine glass. I will be there with Nubian Crafters showing and selling some of my creative art to wear. Here is the link.
Second is my UV Resin Jewelry Class is on Tuesday, February 21, starting at 11:30 am. There is still space to take the class. Receive personal attention as we explore this technique of ultraviolet hardened resin.
The class list of supplies will be provided to you to make a necklace and a set of earrings. The results are beautiful, and after learning these techniques, you will have a fun set to bring home. Sign up for the class!
Third is the Surface Design and Mixed Media Study Group with the Sacramento Center for the Textile Arts, with a Free Workshop with SCTA Surface Design. Different study groups include beading, book arts, needle arts, and Surface Design and Mixed Media.
Our group, Surface Design and Mixed Media will meet at my studio, with the second meeting of the year on February 23, 2023 from 1 pm to 3 pm.
Each meeting we may go over a certain facet of surface design. For the month of February, we will create earrings from wallpaper books.
I encourage anyone who is a member of SCTA to bring a guest so that they can see how wonderful these classes are. Membership is $35 for the year. We have meetings once a month and usually a workshop or class during those meetings.
And the meetings and workshops will take place at my studio, which is a great way to continue to be inspired. I love teaching these workshops and can offer some great ideas for making your ideal project.
