Unique Tin Jewelry Recycled and Upcycled Class
Tin containers from cookies, popcorn tea, and candy tins. Sometimes it can be hard to picture what I am talking about, as all you see is the finished product. Going to thrift stores or secondhand stores, or even garage sales might yield some interesting results. Or you might find those tins going grocery shopping.
Think of the old-fashioned Sunbonnet sugar tins, coffee tins of Maxwell House, or even DAX (Danish) butter cookie cans. All have interesting scenes on them in various colors. Do you remember getting hard candy in a tin?
You can still get mints in a tin, think of Altoids. The popcorn from The Popcorn Factory is a sure hit, as you can eat the popcorn and reuse the tin. And do not get me started with all the different teas in their tins, the possibilities are endless!
In the class, you will learn to cut the metal and make shapes with the tin. Mixing and matching different container tins to create your favorite jewelry piece. This unique jewelry piece will evolve as you create it.
The Tin Jewelry class is on May 16 at 11:30 am. Space is limited, please make sure to sign up here.
